What to Expect in a Session With Me
I strive to create a nonjudgmental and compassionate space where you can show up as you are,
without pressure to have everything figured out. I want my clients to feel empowered to be their
authentic selves, and I believe that starts with building a strong foundation of trust within the
therapeutic relationship. Our first session will focus on getting to know one another, building
rapport, and beginning to identify the goals you’d like to work toward. From there, we’ll work
collaboratively to develop an approach that feels supportive and meaningful to you. Because
every person has their own unique story and set of needs, I take an integrative approach, drawing
from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal
Family Systems (IFS), strengths-based approaches, and solution-focused therapy.
A Little About Me
I am originally from Maryland but have been living in Richmond for 11 years now and really love it here. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new places; however, my favorite place in the world is home. Some of my other interests include photography, baking, thrifting, finding new music to enjoy, and watching cute/funny animal videos on the internet. I also love the opportunity to make a mess with a fun art project like making a handmade card for a friend or coloring to unwind after a long day.
