What to Expect in a Session With Me
In our work together, my primary goal is to create a therapeutic relationship that aids in accessing your most authentic self. My approach is client-centered and I accomplish this through transparent communication and compassionate understanding. In our work together, I implement DBT, somatic and Internal Family Systems based techniques. I view every individual as a mosaic of personality traits, previous experiences, personal relationships, and their environment. My aim with this perspective is to create holistic and adaptive treatment plans that are uniquely tailored to your needs and goals.
A Little Bit About Me
I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University’s (VCU) Master of Social Work program. The education and experiences I obtained at VCU allowed me to cultivate skills that help me in assisting individuals experiencing challenges in their lives, whether that entails internal struggles, difficulties in personal relationships, or managing the many stressors of our world. My goal is to work alongside clients and create adaptive and empowering strategies to target areas of desired growth and increased resilience. Outside of session, I love to walk around the diverse neighborhoods of Richmond to see the beautiful parks, museums, and architecture the city has to offer.
