What to Expect in a Session With Me

In my work with clients, the therapeutic relationship is first and foremost. I do my best to meet clients where they are and respond to them with authenticity and compassion. I believe clients are the experts of their lived experiences (regardless of their age), and I do my best to provide a safe, non-judgmental space to bravely process their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I take a client-centered approach to my therapeutic work which allows me to integrate different approaches to find what works best for each client that I meet. As a dance/movement therapist, I incorporate movement, body awareness, and the mind body connection through stillness, gross motor movement activities, bringing awareness to somatic experiences and body sensations, and everything in between. By focusing on both verbal and non-verbal communication, I can best support my clients’ physical, mental, and emotional health.

A Little About Me

I am a board-certified dance movement therapist and a licensed professional counselor. I have more than five years of experience in the mental health field and incorporating the mind-body connection into therapeutic practice. I love working with children, teens, and adults to help them navigate challenges at every age and stage of life. I incorporate movement into my clinical framework to build relationships, explore embodied empathy, and balance the mind and body.

When I'm not in the office, I enjoy running, baking new recipes, exploring the great outdoors with my dog, and of course, dancing.
