What to Expect in a Session With Me
I will hold space for you to explore emotions, experiences, and circumstances that have shaped your world. My goal is for you to feel seen and receive tools to make life more easeful. I take a holistic approach which recognizes that mind, body, and social factors are all deeply important and intertwined. We’ll get to learn together about what practices and approaches work best for you, some days may be centered on narrative while others may be on mindfulness and movement. The practices I bring in are shaped by my ongoing dedication to learning and ten years as a trauma-informed yoga teacher. I have been trained in Emotional Freedom Technique or “tapping”, a somatic based modality to support your nervous system. Whether you are seeking services for support with relationships, transitions, emotional regulation, burn out, or anything else, I am glad you are here.
A Little Bit About Me
I’ll be learning alongside you in this process! I am in the second year of my Masters of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University. After a career in the higher education field, I felt it was time to honor that I have always been most passionate about mental health, transformation, and the pursuit of authentic expression. I believe that therapy is an opportunity to both learn practical skills and be a soft place to land. I have a curiosity to support people through all of life’s stages. I am most nourished by time in nature, on my yoga mat, or whenever music is involved. You can almost always catch me with a cup of tea in hand.
