Intern & Practicum Students

As a learning and teaching practice, RVA Counseling gladly accepts interns who are students in CACREP-accredited masters-level counseling programs and CSWE-accredited masters in social work programs. Whether you are seeking placement for your practicum or clinical internship, we have a place for you!

 

Interns at RVA Counseling can expect to find themselves honing their clinical skills in an outpatient therapy environment that provides opportunities for individual and group counseling for a diverse client population. You will also learn about the day-to-day operations of an outpatient counseling private practice including clinical documentation, marketing, community engagement, and more. Your experience here will be guided under the supervision of a licensed professional that will seek to both equip you with the skills you need to be successful and to glean from your knowledge and natural giftings as a helper.
