What to Expect in a Session With Me

In our sessions, you can expect a space that feels grounded, collaborative, and very human. I don’t believe therapy is about “fixing” you—it’s about understanding yourself more fully, noticing patterns, and gently exploring which stories still serve you and which ones you’re ready to rewrite. I work at a pace that honors your nervous system, blending conversation with reflection and practical tools you can carry with you beyond the therapy room.

I’m a therapist-in-training who is passionate about supporting women, children/adolescents, and adults, especially those navigating trauma, stress, crisis, and life transitions. My approach is trauma-informed and grounded in compassion and collaboration. I believe therapy works best when it feels safe enough to be honest and flexible enough to meet you where you are.

I’m especially drawn to the mind–body connection and often integrate regulation, grounding, and self-awareness practices into sessions. My background as a yoga teacher informs how I think about healing—honoring the nervous system, listening to the body, and moving at a pace that feels supportive rather than overwhelming.

A Little Bit About Me

I am originally from the Hampton Roads area of Virginia and moved to Richmond for undergrad at VCU. In my free time, I love yoga, running, puzzles, mystery novels, traveling, being in nature, and spending time with my miniature pinscher, Jasper, who is always happy to provide lots of energy (and cuddles).

My professional background includes in-home counseling with children, adolescents, and families in community-based mental health settings, with a focus on trauma recovery, crisis support, and strengthening secure attachments. I am a QMHP, hold a BSW, and am currently pursuing my MSW at Virginia Commonwealth University to continue growing in clinical social work practice.
