What to Expect in a Session With Me

I practice as a trauma-informed provider, yoga instructor, developing perinatal specialist, and conscious parenting coach. I utilize a variety of modalities to provide additional support in the therapy room. Currently, I'm working towards achieving perinatal mental health certification (PMH-C) to deepen my understanding and enhance my support for the maternal mental health community. I'm also certified in Brainspotting, a modality I find effective in helping individuals heal from past traumatic experiences.

Above all, I identify as a human first and a psychotherapist second. My personal experiences have taught me that healing is not a linear process but rather a circular one. That's why I'm transparent about my approach: I'm not a quick-fix therapist because I know from my own journey that quick fixes don't lead to lasting healing. While my degrees and certifications are important aspects of my practice, I place the highest value on the bond and therapeutic relationship I build with my clients. I connect well with those I work with and genuinely care about their well-being. My practice is built on a foundation of ethics, integrity, and a commitment to anti-oppression principles, making my work highly effective.

My passion lies in helping people, and I find great joy in this aspect of my work. So, whether you choose to work with me or someone else, please know that the bar for finding the right support can be set high. You can experience improvement, and I encourage you to seek out someone you resonate with on your healing journey.

A Little About Me

I'm new to the City of Richmond, and my family and I couldn't be happier about our decision to make RVA our forever home. Originally, I'm from Austin, Texas, but most recently, I was living in Las Vegas, Nevada, where I earned my graduate degree in social work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

I hold space for a diverse range of individuals, including kiddos, young adults, couples, and families. In my free time, I enjoy activities such as weightlifting, yoga, leisurely walks, baking, and catching up on the latest TV shows. I'm also a proud mother of two beautiful yet feral little boys, and I fully understand the pure joy of raising little ones alongside the daily challenges it brings.

I'm currently hosting Somatic Stretching sessions one Saturday a month from 9:45AM to 11:00AM! You can register here
