What to Expect in a Session With Me
A session with me may look a little different each time. Beginning our first session with an intake, resulting in questions to give us a clear path of establishing individual goals throughout the time we will be working together. Through our continued sessions, they will be client led, meaning through rapport building we will establish a safe, therapeutic space to process, and sit with each feeling. I have 8 years of experience working in the field of healthcare and mental health. So I have worked with an array of clients including, adults, adolescents, families, couples, military (active duty and veterans), all while supporting through multiple levels of treatment such crisis service, inpatient and outpatient levels of care. I have practiced in CBT, DBT, trauma focused work, and IFS. All while understanding each Individual is unique, I utilize a variety of modalities to ensure a person centered approach. Being your therapist is a privilege that I do not take lightly. My goal is to walk with you on the path and hold space for you during this healing journey.
A Little About Me
My name is Mae and I love what I do. Honestly I went into this field as a backup plan, but quickly couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I am a Mississippi native and have been in Virginia for 8 years. I love traveling and doing anything outdoors.
